Destination Pet Job Shadow Experience

We’re excited that you’re interested in joining our team. As part of your interview, you’ll spend a little time shadowing one of our team members to see what a typical day looks like.

This short experience helps you get a feel for the environment — and for us to learn more about your skills and style!

CSR & ACA Positions

Length: About 30 minutes to 1 hour
Pay: This is part of your interview, so it’s not paid time. You’ll only observe — no actual work will be done.
Purpose: To help you decide if you’d enjoy working in this environment and to give us a chance to see how you engage and interact.

Depending on the role you’re applying for, you’ll get to see some of the following:

ACA: Play yard time, cleaning routines, feeding prep, and one-on-one care time.
CSR: Greeting clients, check-in and check-out processes, and how we care for our furry guests.

You’ll just watch and ask questions — it’s your chance to see if this feels like the right fit for you!

This shadow is not a job offer — it’s simply part of the interview process.

All Other Positions

Length: About 1 to 2 hours
Pay: This is an unpaid part of the interview process, as you’ll be observing only.
Purpose: To help both of us decide if this position feels like the right match. During your shadow, we may chat with you or ask a few additional interview questions.

Depending on the role, you may see:

Grooming: How our groomers check in guests, bathe, and style pets.
Training: How trainers work with pets and communicate with clients.
Veterinary Assistant: Observe a credentialed technician in action and learn about their role in patient care.
Credentialed Vet Tech: Watch how techs assist veterinarians and support daily clinic operations.

This is your time to explore what we do and ask questions along the way!
